LITHUANIAN NATIONAL CURRICULUM

Students are taught in Lithuanian following the primary education curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport. It ensures the development of the knowledge, skills and competencies defined within the Lithuanian education system.

CAMBRIDGE PRIMARY

The Cambridge Primary programme complements the national curriculum by providing an international learning experience.

Is the school officially recognised as a Cambridge International School?

Yes. Our school is officially recognised as a Cambridge International School and is accredited and authorised to offer the Cambridge Primary Programme.

Through Cambridge accreditation, our school is authorised to deliver the Cambridge Primary curriculum and administer Cambridge Primary assessments in accordance with Cambridge International standards, regulations, and the Cambridge Handbook.

Does the Cambridge programme replace the Lithuanian national curriculum?

No. The Cambridge International Programme complements rather than replaces the Lithuanian national curriculum. Children acquire the knowledge and skills required by the Lithuanian education system while also developing additional competencies based on international standards.

How is Cambridge education different from traditional learning?

The Cambridge approach focuses not only on what children know, but also on how they apply their knowledge. Students are encouraged to ask questions, explore, express and justify their ideas, and find solutions independently.

Which subjects are taught as part of the Cambridge Primary programme?

TEMEM students study English, Mathematics and Science as part of the Cambridge Primary programme. These subjects are taught in English.

Is the programme suitable for young children?

Yes. Cambridge principles are applied in an age-appropriate way, taking into account each child’s stage of development. Particular emphasis is placed on developing curiosity, language and social skills, creativity, and a love of learning.
